UTPB SBDC Lauded for Job, Business Creation
Three years ago the University of Texas of the Permian Basin Small Business Development Center helped Gilbert and Rosie Ramirez start a business. New to business ownership, the Ramirezes were guided by the team at UTPB SBDC to launch Epic Collision Services. This thriving new business has since grown so rapidly that they have increased from 5 staff members to 19 employees.
As a result of success stories like this one, the Midland office of the SBDC was awarded the 2016 Excellence and Innovation Award by the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA).
